The Triesting valley region
The Triesting valley comprises the municipalities of Kaumberg, Altenmarkt, Weissenbach, Furth, Pottenstein, Berndorf, Günselsdorf, Hernstein, Hirtenberg, Enzesfeld-Lindabrunn, Leobersdorf and Schönau.
It extends from the valley crossing between the Triesting valley and the Gölsen valley, from the Gerichtsberg mountain west of Kaumberg to Enzesfeld, where it leads into the Vienna Basin.
The river from which the valley derives its name rises from the ridge of the Schöpfl northwest of Kaumberg and flows into the Schwechat at Achau.
